Desert Safari Tour Guidelines
Pre-Tour Recommendations

It is advised not to consume food 1 to 2 hours prior to the safari to avoid nausea or discomfort during dune bashing.

The desert safari is conducted as a shared group tour, and guests will be traveling with others in the same vehicle.

Multiple pick-ups may occur along the way. Please ensure you are ready at your designated location at the scheduled time.

The driver will wait a maximum of 10 minutes at each pick-up location. If you miss your scheduled pick-up for any reason, the tour will proceed without you and no refund will be provided.
Pick-up Instructions

Guests are requested to wait at the hotel lobby or near designated mall entrances for pick-up.

Please be punctual, as delays can affect the entire group’s experience.
Transportation and Safety

All safari vehicles are equipped with seat belts, which must be worn at all times while the vehicle is in motion.

Each vehicle can accommodate a maximum of 6 passengers.

The safari involves off-road driving through rugged terrain. Participation is not recommended for individuals with the following conditions:

Back or neck problems

Mobility limitations requiring wheelchair use

Quad Biking Disclaimer

Quad biking is an optional activity undertaken at the participant’s own risk.

Guests are expected to operate the quad bikes responsibly and follow all safety instructions.

Any injuries, damages, or losses incurred during quad biking are not covered by the tour operator’s insurance.
Clothing and Essentials

Cultural and Legal Etiquette
Photography Restrictions

Photography of government buildings, military facilities, and oil or gas refineries is strictly prohibited.

Always seek permission before photographing local residents, especially women dressed in traditional attire.
Public Conduct

Littering is subject to fines.

Smoking is not allowed indoors or in public areas.

Public displays of affection are discouraged and may be considered offensive.

Alcohol and live entertainment are prohibited during religious observances, including for 24 hours starting at sunset on the eve of Islamic holidays.

The legal drinking age in the UAE is 21.
Dress Code

While the UAE has a relaxed approach to dress in general, modest clothing is expected in malls, traditional markets, rural areas, and religious or cultural sites.

For women: Shoulders and knees should be covered; avoid transparent or tight-fitting clothes.

For men: Avoid sleeveless shirts or shorts in non-beach settings.

Beachwear is acceptable at beaches, pools, and resorts only.

Warm clothing is recommended for desert safaris in the cooler months.
Visiting Religious Sites

Modest dress is mandatory.

Women are required to cover their hair with a scarf and wear long sleeves and full-length skirts or trousers.

Men should avoid shorts and sleeveless shirts.

Clothing must be loose-fitting and non-transparent.
During Ramadan

Ramadan is a sacred month in which Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset.

Eating, drinking, and smoking in public during daylight hours is strictly prohibited.

Hotels and some restaurants may provide food and beverages in designated indoor areas during this time.
